Ghanas Science and Technology Policy Research Institute CSIRPI says the adoption of technology and farm services support is woefully inadequate. Dr Richard AmpaduAmeyaw, a Senior Research Scientist at the institute, said this had little or no impact on the agriculture sector. He called for more exploration to adopt and use or even invest in such service supports. Dr AmpaduAmeyaw said the focus on extension education was at the expense of farm services. He recommended that there should be a capacity building in mechanization /machinery services. Dr Adelaide Agyeman, the Deputy Director, CSRISTEPRI, said the workshop was to share knowledge and findings of research to inform and strengthen Ghanas SIrelated policy and investment processes.
