Known as CVE202520236, the vulnerability was caused by Webexs custom URL parsers inadequate input validation, which allowed attackers to run arbitrary commands with the targeted users privileges. Cisco notified users that there are no solutions and that all earlier versions of Webex were impacted, irrespective of operating system or system settings. The business also fixed two further vulnerabilities, CVE202520178 and CVE202520150, which were linked to issues with the webbased administration interface and privilege escalation.
