Nvidias Container Toolkit for Linux contains a confirmed vulnerability CVE202523359 that lets attackers access the host file system and run malicious code. With a severity score of 8.3, the bug impacts all toolkit versions up to 1.17.3 and GPU Operator 24.9.1. An earlier critical vulnerability CVE20240132, severity 9.0 that let attackers mount the host root file system into a container was followed by this one. Users are encouraged to install updates immediately, as versions 1.17.4 and 24.9.2 have been patched to address the issue.
