The company recently achieved a milestone by making its first 4G calls using Open RAN on shared network sites in Romania with Orange. Additionally, Vodafone is teaming up with Nokia to test Open RAN in Italy. Open RAN enables flexibility by allowing mobile operators to mix and match equipment from different suppliers.
