The industrial automation division of Wipro Infrastructure Engineering a Wipro Enterprises subsidiary, Wipro PARI, disclosed on Monday that it has finalised an agreement to acquire Hochrainer GmbH in Freilassing, Germany. A legally binding contract for the purchase of Freilassing by the German company Hochrainer GmbH has been signed by Wipro. The German business, which employs roughly 130 people ,has been in operation since 1973. The transactions financial specifics were kept confidential. Hochrainer noted that the business, which has a large presence in various nonautomotive areas and strategic alliances with top companies in the industry, has established itself as a leading provider of automation technologies and assembly systems for several international automakers.
