According to Ookla, the current broadband speed in the Philippines is 50.26 Mbit / s, which is 14 times faster than 3.6 Mbit / s eight years ago. PCCI President George Barcelon said legislation such as the Data Disclosure Act, the Rural Cable Connection Development Act, the Spectrum Management Act, the Internet Improvement Act, and the Satellite Technology Promotion Act could help improve internet connectivity.
